Who We Are
Sakura Vinteriors restores and reimagines well-made furniture, giving existing pieces a considered second life. Through careful repair, respectful adaptation, and an emphasis on longevity, we create furniture that sits comfortably in contemporary spaces without losing its past.
Out with the new,
In with the timeless.
Inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom — Sakura — our name reflects the deeper meaning behind what we do. In Japanese folk tradition, cherry blossoms symbolize the fleeting nature of life, the beauty of transformation, and the promise of new beginnings. These themes resonate deeply with our mission: to breathe new life into forgotten furniture, transforming the old into something uniquely beautiful and full of character.
Each item in our collection is hand-selected and thoughtfully refurbished, blending history with modern style. Whether it’s a mid-century sideboard, a rustic farmhouse table, or a quirky up-cycled chair, every piece is a celebration of character, sustainability, and second chances.
I believe your home should reflect your story — layered, soulful, and ever-evolving. Let our pieces be part of that journey.
Our Story & Mission
Sakura Vinteriors was founded on a simple belief: the most meaningful furniture already exists.
In a world driven by speed and novelty, we choose a slower, more thoughtful path. We seek out well-made pieces from different periods and traditions—furniture designed with proportion, material honesty, and longevity in mind—and give them a second life. Not by erasing their past, but by respecting it.
Each piece we work on carries a history. Marks of age are not flaws to be disguised, but evidence of use, care, and time. Our role is to restore structural integrity, refine form, and reimagine function where appropriate, allowing these objects to live comfortably in contemporary interiors without losing their character.
The name Sakura is inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom, a symbol of renewal and transformation. It reflects our approach: thoughtful restoration, careful change, and the belief that something overlooked can become quietly exceptional once again.
Our mission is to champion sustainability through craftsmanship. By repairing, repurposing, and reintroducing existing furniture, we reduce waste, honour skilled making, and offer an alternative to disposable design. We believe in furniture that endures—both physically and aesthetically.
Our Approach
We work with care and restraint. Every piece is assessed for its structure, materials, and original intent before any work begins. Restoration is guided by respect rather than reinvention, with changes made only where they improve longevity, function, or suitability for modern living.
What We Do
We restore and upcycle existing furniture, repairing what time has worn and reimagining pieces where a new use allows them to endure. Some items are carefully returned to their original purpose; others are thoughtfully adapted, always with sensitivity to form and proportion.
Sustainability
& Craft
Sustainability is not an add-on to our process—it is the process. By repairing and reusing furniture already in circulation, we reduce waste and honour the skill embedded in traditional making. Craftsmanship, patience, and considered decisions sit at the centre of every piece we produce.
