G Plan E Gomme Brandon Teak Sideboard Drinks Cabinet Restored Mid Century

A beautifully restored G Plan Brandon sideboard / cocktail cabinet, made by E. Gomme / G Plan and dating from the mid-century period. This is a stylish and highly usable piece, combining display storage, drawer storage and a drinks cabinet section within a compact, elegant design.

The cabinet features warm teak tones, curved side supports, original wooden handles, a glazed display section with internal glass shelf, and a useful right-hand cupboard section. The piece has been fully restored, with the wooden legs painted black for a sharper contemporary contrast. The interior drinks cabinet section has also been upcycled with a bold chevron painted finish, giving the piece a distinctive modern detail while retaining its original G Plan character.

A versatile statement piece, ideal as a drinks cabinet, display cabinet, compact sideboard, hallway cabinet or living room storage unit.

Condition

Fully restored and presented in excellent vintage condition.

The exterior has been carefully revived to enhance the warmth and character of the teak, while the black painted legs and chevron-painted interior add a tasteful contemporary contrast. The original handles remain in place, and the glass-fronted display section presents well.

As with any vintage piece, there may be minor signs of age or previous use, but these are in keeping with its character and do not detract from the overall appearance. Structurally sound and ready for use.

Care

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

Avoid placing the cabinet near radiators, direct heat sources or prolonged strong sunlight, as this can affect vintage wood and veneer over time. Wipe spills immediately and avoid harsh chemical cleaners.

Use coasters or protective mats where appropriate, especially on the top surface and inside the drinks cabinet section. Treat the glass gently and clean with a suitable glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth rather than directly onto the cabinet.
