Nathan Squares Mid Century Teak Cabinet Sideboard Fully Restored

A fully restored Nathan Squares mid-century teak cabinet, combining practical storage with the distinctive geometric detailing associated with this highly recognisable British furniture range.

The cabinet features two upper drawers with original round wooden knobs, a generous open display shelf and a lower double-door cupboard. The raised square-panelled doors create a strong architectural appearance, while the cupboard opens to reveal a spacious interior with a full-width shelf.

The drawers retain their green felt lining, making them particularly useful for cutlery, serving accessories or smaller household items. The original metal Nathan maker’s badge remains inside the cupboard.

At only 26.5 cm deep, this is an unusually compact and versatile piece. It could be used as a small sideboard, drinks cabinet, hallway cupboard, dining-room cabinet or decorative storage unit without occupying excessive floor space.

Condition

This cabinet has been fully restored and is presented in very good vintage condition.

The original green felt lining remains inside the drawers and may show minor signs of previous use consistent with its age. The original Nathan maker’s badge has also been retained.

As an authentic vintage piece, the cabinet may retain occasional historic marks, subtle tonal variation and small imperfections. These form part of its character and do not detract from its overall appearance or function.

Care

Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth. For occasional cleaning, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface immediately afterwards.

Clean the felt-lined drawers carefully using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner on a low setting with an appropriate attachment.

Keep the cabinet away from prolonged direct sunlight, radiators and excessive changes in temperature or humidity. Always lift the cabinet when moving it rather than dragging it, to protect both the structure and the floor.
